The Mechanicville-Stillwater communities and surrounding areas are a mecca for all-season recreation ranging form summer visits to beautiful parks, such as the Saratoga Battlefield National Park, to downhill skiing at some of the finest ski areas in the Northeast. A public dock on the Hudson River behind Mechanicville's Municipal Building provides free docking, electric hook up, parking and a picnic area.

Located in the Town of Stillwater and adjacent to the National Park is the Saratoga National Cemetery honoring the service of our nation's veterans.

Several area golf courses cater to golf enthusiasts while area colleges and universities provide a wide variety of sports entertainment to fans of baseball, football, basketball, hockey and several other sports.

Nearby, the historic Saratoga Flat Track provides a season of action packed activity for horse racing fans that travel here from all over the country and globe. Professional hockey, baseball and arena football are located minutes away in the State Capital, Albany.
