Cable Technologies
|
Cable Technologies, a recent arrival to the city of Mechanicville,
was assisted by the Mechanicville/Stillwater Industrial
Development Agency and the City of Mechanicville in its
transactions to purchase city-owned property at a reduced
rate and assisted with other issues. After the purchase,
Cable Technologies constructed a new warehouse operation
and modernized the existing building. The company employs
approximately 15 people.

DeCresente Distributing
Co.
|
The DeCresente Distributing Company, one of the area's
major employers, received assistance through the Mechanicville/Stillwater
Industrial Development Agency which enabled it to expand
its business operation locally on two separate occasions.
From a humble beginning in 1948 with 4 employees, it has
progressed through four generations to become one of the
crown jewels of the community with over 200 employees.

Empire Warehousing
|
In 1995 Empire Warehousing purchased the former West Vaco
paper mill which had closed in 1973. With the financial
incentives provided by the Mechanicville/Stillwater Industrial
Development Agency and an investment of over 3.5 million
dollars, the company was able to modernize the building.
Today, the building is occupied by two major businesses:
Creatacor and The Leonard Bus Co. The employment level
has steadily risen to its present employment of 45 individuals.

Price Chopper Plaza
|
In 1993 Schuyler/Mechanicville Partnership, with the financial
incentives provided by the Mechanicville/Stillwater Industrial
Development Agency, was able to construct the Price Chopper
Plaza. The complex consists of 9 stores with Price Chopper
as its anchor store. The Plaza Complex provides employment
for 154 full and part time employees.

Saratoga Lake Golf Club
|
In 2000 the Mechanicville/Stillwater Industrial Development
Agency assisted in the newly created Saratoga Lake Golf
Club. The project consists of a 3,200 square foot clubhouse
on a 217 acre site overlooking Saratoga Lake. The Golf
Course employs 7 professional managers and technical persons
and 3 other part-time employees.
